Calzolaio is a mixed media sculpture/mobile designed for the Inspired Soles fourth annual art show and auction benefiting Artlink, April 2nd & 3rd 2015.

 

This particular stiletto was damaged by fire and  had been sliced and pierced by a steel rod.  The task was to repair the damage and restore the stilletos grace.

 

The steel plates are contoured to follow the elegant curves of the shoe while concealing the damage.  The mobile accentuates the inherant value of balance that is the essence of a stiletto!
